Introductory Video

Despite her young age, Torri is already one of the most accomplished swimmers in American history. Although she is just 20 and far from her peak, Torri is already the fourth fastest LC 100M butterflier in human history. During the 2022 World Championships Torri also entered two very exclusive clubs. In capping off a stellar season after her freshman year at Stanford, Torri became one of only four women in American history to win six medals at a World Championships. In addition, during that meet she also became one of only four American women in history to go under 53 seconds in the 100M LC freestyle, where she now ranks as the third fastest American of all-time. At the 2022 Fina SC World Championships in Melbourne, Australia, Torri won gold in the 50M butterfly while also winning seven medals (four gold and three silvers). Over the course of the two 2022 Fina World Championship meets, she won more medals than any other woman in the world (thirteen in total, seven gold, three silver, and three bronze medals). Torri is a fierce competitor who is known for her tireless work ethic, drive towards excellence, and commitment to being her best. On race day, her business-like approach, focus, determination, and intensity are both unique and legendary. Currently, Huske is enrolled at Stanford University in California. She applies the same work ethic and focus that has made her so successful in the pool, to her studies as a student athlete. At present, her major is undeclared, however her interests are in STEM related areas. Torri was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia. She attended Yorktown High School where she earned a 4.28 GPA while swimming at a world class level. In 2022, Torri became the youngest member ever inducted into the Yorktown High School Hall of Fame. From the age of five until she went to college, Torri swam for the Arlington Aquatic Club where she set 77 records during her career. During her swimming career at Yorktown High School Torri became the most decorated high school swimmer in Virginia history. She was a Captain of the 2021 State Championship Team, 2x National High School Record Holder, 15x State Champion, set 6 All-Time Virginia State High School Records, and was a 29x NISCA High School All-American. Huske was also named the USA Today High School Swimmer of the Year and 2x Swimming World High School Swimmer of the Year. In addition, Torri was a NISCA Academic All-American and 4x USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. Torri is passionate about everything in her life including her family, her friends, her education, her art, and her swimming. Torri’s mother is the person she most admires. She credits her mother, a first-generation immigrant, for being an exemplary role-model. Torri said, “Through her example, she showed me how to be a strong woman and she instilled in me the value of learning, kindness and caring. Most of all, she taught me that, like her, the only barriers I face are the ones I place in front of myself. If you believe in yourself, you can do almost anything!” Torri’s motto is, I AM and I Can!
